7th Papaye fast food opens at Haatso


The number one Ghana’s total Fast Food Care Company, “Papaye” has opened its 7th Branch outlet at Haatso in the Greater Accra Region.

Papaye started over 28 years ago through the hardwork of Dr. Samir Kalmoni, the Executive Chairman and with a dedicated staff, the company is having a customer base of over a million and have employed over 600 people.

Papaye have received several awards for being good corporate citizens. The most recent award received have to do with being a member of the prestigious Ghana Club 100 in 2019 and the only fast food company among the 100 best companies in Ghana.

In his address, the Executive Chairman of Papaye Fast Food Limited, Dr. Samir Kalmoni disclosed that his dream was to do good to the society, hence the name “PAPAYE”, the literary Akan meaning.

Papaye he mentioned, as a results of its strong leadership, discipline, quality and dedicated human resources, is currently the market leader in the fast food industry.

“Too often food is viewed as just a way to fill one’s belly, to satisfy one s hunger. That is a mistake, and a costly one for our society. We treat food as though it is a commodity-all tomatoes are the same, it doesn’t which chicken you put in your pot. But food is not a typical commodity; the way food is produced has an enormous effect on the quality and nutritional value of that food. The “how” matters”.

Papaye food system over the last two decades Dr, Samir indicated, has developed a plan for how they could deliver the highest quality, most nutritious food possible, in a way that protect people’s health and environment, the foundations of life on which human depend.

He averred that over the past 28 years that Papaye had operated, their restaurants has never been closed on a single day to their cherished customers.

Dr. Samir Kalmoni applauded Ministry of Tourism and the Ghana Tourism Authority for their immense encouragement and support towards their success.

“Papaye over the years has been a good corporate citizen and fulfilled all our statutory obligations. We have paid our taxes, social security contributions regularly, sponsored educational and health events just to mention a few”.

The Guest Speaker, Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Elizabeth Sacky commended Dr. Samir Kalmoni and Management of Papaye for complement Government’s effort in providing jobs to the good people of Ghana. She said Government would continue to provide the enabling business friendly environment to the private sector, and urge management to also use local rice in preparing their food.

The Chief Executive Officer for Papaye Fast Food Limited, Mr. Divine Kwadwo Asiedu revealed that the company has survived over the years due to careful planning, hardwork and the tireless support of their valued customers.

He assured all patrons in and around the environs of Haatso that, Papaye will continue serving them with the best testy food at a good value, in a clean and comfortable restaurant, at an affordable price and treating customers as royalty.
“PAPAYE will not compromise on the PAPAYE standards of quality, comfort, affordability and the signature of Ghanaian hospitality”.
