Story: Isaac Asare Ander
Right from day one it was obvious the assistant coach to the Black Stars, Charles Kwabla Akunnor was eyeing the substantive job of his boss Kwasi Appiah.
In his attempt to stage the soccer coup de tat he started overshadowing and subtly undermining the head coach esp at trainings and other fora.
It is therefore not a surprise that the newly elected chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Okraku announced his friend as the new coach of the glorious Black Stars.
Friends and and family appointments have permeated all facets of life from politics and now football management, ironically it has never worked and results not achieved with such un meritorious appointments.
These appointments would not bring back the Love because I am afraid we can’t achieve results.
On what consideration was C.K appointed head coach of the Stars?
I thought the Stars needed a coach who could command respect and reciprocate same from the players. That they needed a coach with peceigree and the needed experience to make the impossible possible.
It’s not about being a forner captain and former cosches of dreams FC which is owned by Kurt, so you see? Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
To coach the Black Stars and bring back the love through results demands an experienced coach regardless of color. All we need are results and I doubt if C.K would deliver.
Kurt Okraku shouldn’t toy with Ghana Football, he should let the football people feel the change and not regret the confidence they reposed in you, by voting you.
You have started on a bad footing and I hope you realize it earlier than later.
Information available to me indicate that some of the players have expressed disappointment and in the coming days we shall see it manifest.
